here is what people are saying about the Health teachers' network:

I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for all the work that you put into the Health Teachers Network, the HHD course, and HHD teachers around the state. I hold no illusions that it's the work of you and the folks at HTN alongside the students that I teach which has led to so many of them receiving scores of 40 or better in the four years that I have been teaching Unit 3/4. The way that you conduct PD and the SACs that are available on the HTN site are streaks ahead of the competition, and I would never recommend a group other than the HTN for resources and teacher advice for anyone starting out their HHD teaching journey. Thank you so much for all your support as I developed my understanding of the HHD curriculum, and for taking the time to answer all the questions my students and I could think up! You have been incredibly generous with your time over the years and I genuinely appreciate that.

We started Term 4 today and I received emails from the HHD Class about how much they enjoyed your revision session last Monday.

My 12 HHDs just wanted to send you a quick email thanking you for your presentation on Monday. We all found it highly valuable, and the students all expressed how much they got from it.

Thanks  for (the student session) last night - my students were very impressed and got a lot out of it.

Last year was my first time teaching 3/4 Health and Human Development, and the support from your Professional Development sessions, the Health Teachers Network website and your textbook (my two bibles!!), and the Facebook page made an incredible difference. Thanks to these resources, I felt well-prepared, supported and confident in delivering the curriculum. My students performed exceptionally well, and I’m thrilled to share that one of them even achieved a perfect study score of 50! I truly believe your work played a significant role in this success.

I have absolutely loved teaching HHD for the last 15 years and I am very passionate about the content. However,  it was only made possible by your never-ending guidance and for this reason I wanted to say a very big thank you. I so very much appreciated all of the emails you answered and the PDs I attended over the years. I truly could not have taught the way I have without your guidance.

Just wanted to let you know I have worked in many departments over the last 17 years and this is my first year in Health which I love (I am a PT and nutrition coach as a little side hustle so it’s a passion of mine) and never have I worked in an area of study where someone provides soooo much and sooo many resources.  Just want to say thank you- my year at a new school was successful because of how much you provided.

I just wanted to reach out and personally thank you for the PD yesterday afternoon. In all honesty, I have been feeling completely overwhelmed with getting started with Unit 4, but after yesterday’s session I’m feeling confident and secure. Thank you for all your hard work. I went back into my office yesterday afternoon after the PD and showed some staff the resources you gave us, and they were in awe! Appreciate all the time you put into this subject.

Just a quick email to let you know that my daughter (name provided) attended all of your lectures last year and got 47 for HHD. She considers the fantastic information that she received from your lectures as being the driving force for this outstanding result. Your presentations were outstanding and she found the notes and questions extremely relevant and very useful. These lectures set her up perfectly for SACs and the end of year exam. Thank you so much for your great work!

I would like to pass on my enormous gratitude to you. I came into teaching HHD from a biology / science background but very quickly developed an enthusiasm for HHD, due to your own enthusiasm and dedication. It was so easy to teach given the huge amount of resources offered and your own ongoing support. I have loved teaching HHD and I think my students have found it so worthwhile and rewarding to study.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the resources you had emailed through at the end of last year. It took me until just recently to read through them and start to get organised. I feel like a thank you email is the least I can do, but it truly helps me so much, as I’m sure it does help so many other teachers and students (for that matter). THANK YOU! Two of my students got in the 40s, a 43 and a 44. They were the two highest study scores in the school.  They attended your lectures too. So thank you for all your information, resources, responses to emails.

I just wanted to personally thank you for the session I attended earlier this year on the 15th of September. I felt so prepared and it was honestly all thanks to the booklet you provided us with along with the advice and tips you gave us. I didn't expect to walk out of my exam so happy. It not only prepared me for my HHD exam this year but you honestly provided us with tips that I will use across all my other 5 subjects next year. Thank you once again for all your help and I've already got all my friends who are doing 3/4 HHD next year excited to attend your lectures!
